Five different Open Reach engineers of increasing seniority have been round in as many weeks, all pulling out nameless bits of electronic gizmo-age and tutting a lot to no avail. I even have my own Case Manager at BT Towers, Delhi who assures me that this will all be sorted very soon. But given that the solution really involves over 7kms of new and very expensive fibre-optic cable linking the village to the exchange, I'm not too optimistic.
In the meantime, please bear with me if I am slow to respond to any form of electronic communication. It appears that our community has been bombed back into the Transistor Age.
